Shravana Purnima is regarded as a highly auspicious day in Hindu culture. The various rituals which are performed on Shravana Purnima possess immense significance. The rituals of ‘Upnayan’ and ‘Yagyopaveet’ are observed on this day. Brahmins also observe ‘Shudhikaran’ ritual on Shravana Purnima as it is considered as one of the most sacred day for performing religious rituals.
