Kartik Purnima is a festival celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Kartik, also known as "Deva Diwali" or the "Diwali of the Gods". It marks the end of the holy month of Kartik and is associated with religious significance, including the victory of Lord Shiva over the demon Tripurasura, Lord Vishnu's first avatar Matsya, and the birth of Lord Kartikeya. Celebrations include bathing in sacred rivers, fasting, offering lamps, performing prayers, and engaging in acts of charity.

Religious significance:
Victory over evil: It celebrates Lord Shiva's victory over the demon Tripurasura, which is why it is also called Tripuri Purnima.
Incarnation of Vishnu: It is the day Lord Vishnu is believed to have incarnated as Matsya, his first avatar.
Birth of Kartikeya: The festival also celebrates the birth of Lord Kartikeya, the son of Shiva and Parvati.
